Ibtisam Barakat is a Palestinian-American writer and poet, widely known for her book "Tasting the Sky: A Palestinian Childhood" (2007).
She was born in Beit Hanina, east of Jerusalem, and studied English literature at Birzeit University, graduating in 1986. She holds two master’s degrees and writes and publishes in both Arabic and English. Her works have been translated into numerous languages, including French, Spanish, Catalan, Dutch, Korean, Persian, Braille, and more. Her work focuses on resisting social injustice, particularly against youth (Ibtisam Barakat's official website). Her notable works, translated into various languages, include:

Charlotte Shama, is a French illustrator married to a Palestinian, residing in the city of Nazareth in Palestine. She studied art in France and the United Kingdom, and after completing her studies, she wanted to travel the world. Through a volunteer organization, she traveled to Nazareth, where she was provided with work assisting English and French teachers and teaching art, which allowed her to learn Arabic.
